Loop systems / fixed induction loop systems

Loop systems, also known as hearing loops or fixed induction loop systems, are designed to improve sound clarity for individuals with hearing aids or cochlear implants.

Loop systems work by transmitting sound directly to the hearing device, overcoming distance, reducing background noise and enhancing the listening experience.

Hearing Loops are assistive listening devices designed for individuals who have a hearing loss and use hearing aids.

These systems enable users to receive sound directly from a microphone or audio source through a magnetic field.

This direct transmission significantly improves sound clarity by reducing background noise and reverberation.

A hearing loop consists of one or more loops of cable, typically installed around the perimeter of a room or building.

To use the system, hearing aid wearers simply switch their devices to the ‘T’ (Telecoil) setting, although it should be noted that all hearing aids will have this setting.

Loop systems can be a decent option to help to overcome the issues of accessibility and inclusivity in group and social situations, however there are limitations with this technology.

Loop technology has been around for around 100 years, it can sometimes be prone to interference and can’t address the needs of everyone in the room.

For these reasons we tend to supply Roger Room Systems more, for a detailed explanation click here.
